"Suite Surrender"

Suite Surrender Playbill
Suite Surrender Playbill

It's 1942, and two of Hollywood's biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel.  Assistants, luggage, and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance...that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.

Jan Radford and Frankie Renwick play the roles of dueling divas, Claudia McFadden and Athena Sinclair with John Siegfried as harried hotel manager Bernard S. Dunlap. Ken Coleman will appear as the much abused assistant, Mr. Pippet with Marlene Batte and Rick Schuler providing the play's love interest. Jeromy Wilhelm takes a turn as Otis, the clueless bellhop. New to the cast this year are Laurie Knox as Society Matron, Mrs. Everett P. Osgood and Monica O'Hagan as gossip columnist, Dora Del Rio. Director Mark Gaynor reports that the actors are making remarkable progress in learning their lines and in bringing their characters to life. The hilarious antics of the characters in Suite Surrender as well as the many plot turns are guaranteed to keep you laughing throughout this comic production.
